The Serengeti, the Ngorongoro Crater, and the white sands of Zanzibar — Africa at its most epic and most romantic.

Tanzania is safari on the grandest scale. The Serengeti stretches to the horizon and beyond; the Ngorongoro Crater holds a lost world of wildlife in a single bowl; and when the dust settles, the Indian Ocean and Zanzibar’s spice-scented shores are waiting. It is the ultimate bush-and-beach.

Across endless golden plains, more than a million wildebeest move in a slow, ancient river of life — calving on the southern grass, surging north toward the Mara.

The Serengeti's lions are the stuff of legend — big prides lounging in the kopjes and, in the south, climbing into the acacias to catch the breeze.

Descend into the world's largest intact volcanic caldera — a natural amphitheatre holding tens of thousands of animals, including the Big Five, year-round.

Where the Mara River cuts through the north, the migration gathers, hesitates, and crosses — a heart-stopping gauntlet of current and crocodile.

Frequently asked questions

Where is the migration during my dates?

The herds calve on the southern Serengeti grasslands around January–March and reach the northern river crossings around August–October. Tell us your dates and we'll design around the herds.

Can I combine safari with Zanzibar?

Absolutely — it's our most popular pairing. A short flight links the Serengeti to the islands, turning your safari into the ultimate bush-and-beach honeymoon.

How long should a Tanzania safari be?

We recommend at least 6–7 nights on safari to do the northern circuit justice, plus 3–4 nights in Zanzibar if you're adding the coast.
